“Mother’s Day” Accepted to Oceanside Int’l Film Festival
My short “Mother’s Day” just got accepted to the Oceanside International Film Festival, August 16-19th at the Grace Theatre. What’s super cool is my Mom and sisters live close to Oceanside so they’ll be able to check it out. I’m so jazzed!
Rampin’ Up: “Mother’s Day” Almost Here!
The short film “Mother’s Day” is almost finished! We’re just finalizing the music, composed by Emmy-Award winning composer Dean Grinsfelder, who’s done a ton of feature films–we are so grateful to have his talents on board! Dean’s website is www.deangrinsfelder.com so go check out this guy’samazing scope of work! The film itself will be finished within a couple weeks. Here’s a final version of the poster, just in time for Mother’s Day!

Sorry for the loooong absence. We’ve been working on the short film “Mother’s Day”; Real Life also reared its ugly head and I had to focus on other things for a while. Anyway, here are a couple screenshots from the picture lock. Thanks for taking a look.
Pics: “Mother’s Day” Weekend Film Shoot
It was a FANTASTIC WEEKEND. The Locations: a home in Pacific Palisades and a doctor’s office in Culver City. The Actors: Derek Meeker (DAVID), Keri Blunt (VANESSA), Brendan Parry Kaufman (DR. PARKER) and Grant McLellen (ALEX.) The Crew: lean and all pro; everyone wore about 17 hats each. The Food: Delicious and plentiful. The Camera: Sony XDCAM EX PMW-EX1 Camcorder. Me: hellaciously sick with the flu. But I kept my mucus to myself, mostly.
Director David J. Eagle steered the ship as we filmed all day Saturday (complete with rainstorms) and most of the day Sunday. But, we still wrapped both days ahead of time. It was a weekend shoot I’ll never forget as I watched this production team work tirelessly to bring this short film to life. I am SO proud of everyone who put so much passion and effort into making this thing a reality. And I thank you all too, for reading this post and letting me express my appreciation.
